The Academy Student programme is a series of five internal residential training courses throughout your training contract.
Twenty-one days of residential training. It’s a big investment – but we believe it is worth it. It’s different, because it blends technical knowledge with behavioural skills.
Technical skills – accounting, auditing and taxation
Core development – advisory skills, commercial awareness and RSM Tenon values
Behavioural skills – self awareness and key management skills

Our Skills Boosters programme is a burst of half- to one-day courses. You’ll cover skills from basic presentation skills, through to time management, negotiation and persuasion skills. We run a three-day Supervisory Skills programme for new staff to management. We also love the challenge of building bespoke and tailor-made solutions.
Our core staff often need a different skill-set to excel in their roles. Our Core Excellence programme achieves just that. Targeting administration, secretarial and support staff, it works on building ‘RSM Tenon’ skills – skills that make us different.
Achieving your potential is extremely rewarding for you – and for us. Throughout the Personal Excellence programme, you get the chance to stand back and think about…you. It’s a very personal and introspective course. And it’s an investment in your most vital asset - your talent, your personality, you.
This programme is constantly expanding. At the moment, it’s a five-stage development course. It starts at junior management and goes all the way through to director level.
We are advisers, so this programme develops our technical specialists into specialist advisers. A subtle change of words, but a huge change in behaviour.
We want our people to be able to talk comfortably on wide-ranging issues, and to have the tools and knowledge to be successful advisers.
