A local theatre hosting various plays and pantomimes.
Business Challenge
Past trading losses meant the theatre had to go into liquidation, just days before the opening of a big pantomime, which had already taken £200k in advance bookings. The theatre really wanted to continue trading with the aim of a rescue.
RSM Tenon's Approach
The recovery division of RSM Tenon were appointed and managed to continue trading with the aim of rescuing the theatre as a going concern.
The Result
The theatre was placed into administration and the search for a buyer began. After successfully trading through the panto season a buyer was found and the theatre rescued.
