An independent recruitment consultancy specialising in the supply of temporary and permanent administration, finance, sales & marketing and HR staff to local business.

The business challenge


In a highly competitive market place, with over 500 recruitment consultancies within a 5 mile radius, our client realised they needed to spend their time developing the business and recruiting candidates and employers, not dealing with their back office administration.

They had realised that whilst accounts is one of those necessary evils to running a business time spent promoting the business and providing the very best service to candidates and clients was a better use of their expertise.

In such a competitive environment, any time taken away from this was time badly spent. Previously the accounting function was run in house, but as with any growing business, the time taken to fulfil the accounting obligations was steadily increasing.

RSM Tenon worked with the company to understand their needs and a proposal was prepared recommending they outsource the accounting function to RSM Tenon. The appropriate systems and processes were implemented and fully supported on an ongoing basis by a dedicated account management team who were always readily available to answer and resolve any questions and queries.

The result


It used to take 3 days per week just sorting out the payroll for the temps alone, now it takes 3 hours. The management information that is received is far better than anything previously produced and management can work to grow the business safe in the knowledge that the RSM Tenon will process the payroll and sales invoices.

The company’s clients receive their invoices promptly and staff are paid by BACS automatically meaning management have a lot more time to work with candidates, to understand their needs, wants and desires and find roles for them.
